Our Vice Chairman is a retired industrial chemist
Our Treasurer is a business efficiency consultant
Our Librarian is a local government officer
Our Secretary
is a computer consultant.Our other band members include an accountant, a draughtsman, a forensic scientist, office workers, engineers, students, ... We are run by a committee that is elected at the AGM
(usually in April) who are responsible for arranging concerts, collecting subscriptions (£25/term for adults), paying bills (hire of hall, insurance, conductors fees) and occassionally obtaining grants and raffle prizes.
Our other income comes from concert ticket sales and raffles (both internal at rehearsals and external at some concerts). We maintain subscriptions at the lowest possible level that will allow us to
remain solvent. |
