Welcome to the Dartford Concert Band web site. We are a community band providing opportunities for woodwind, brass and percussion players to come together to make music and to take
live music to the community in and around Dartford in Kent.We welcome players of all ages who have a basic mastery of their chosen instrument and the ability to read music. Our repertoire covers the full
stylistic range and is chosen to stretch the capabilities of the band members while providing audiences with programmes that they will enjoy. See the
concerts page for examples of previous performances.If you play (or have played) just about any instrument
that requires blowing or beating then do come and join us. We are not a competing band and we don't have a heavy concert schedule, we rehearse
on a Wednesday evening and typically perform 5 or 6 times a year. You will find us friendly and supportive, particularly if you are a 'returning' player or a 'late starter'.
